LE Portraits ~ the blog: Owasso Oklahoma photography

I was excited to get to have a session with my aunt, uncle, and cousins this weekend. The whole family was back in town so we took advantage and had a fun time exploring downtown Broken Arrow. I hadn’t been back to BA for quite a while and it has changed so much! We saw my cousins’ old school, so took a picture there, and then visited a couple of parks on Main Street too. Keep in mind that we ARE in Oklahoma, where they wind comes sweepin’ down the plains ;o) I am purposely not showing the best group picture since they will be for Christmas cards and I don’t want to give any surprises away, but wanted to post one of the group ones so you can see the whole fam Love you guys! Baby D is already 8 months old and such a happy baby. He was so sweet and tolerated FOUR outfit changes in about 40 minutes with a smile on his face. Amazing! I love getting to see how much he has grown and changed at each of our sessions. He is a little doll. Thanks, guys! Talk to you soon

It was a nice, hot evening for our portrait party on Saturday, but I am so glad that so many toughed it out and showed up for the party! We had a great time and got some beautiful pictures. Here are a few from our evening….

And she is just as cute as ever. When I do my baby sessions, it really emphasizes how fast time flies. It seems like just yesterday that I was doing Miss T’s newborn, then 3 month and 6 month sessions and now she is already 9 months old. I always enjoy visiting with this family during our sessions and was sorry to miss seeing big brother T last night. I am looking forward to his 3 year pics soon so we can play

Little T was so smiley and having a blast while I was setting up the lights….then I brought out the camera and she made us work for even the hint of a smile. We tried a few outside…but it was TOO hot so we just played around indoors and ended up getting so cute pictures. Here is a sneak peek:

This family was so sweet to meet me last night when it was crazy hot out. We were very thankful for some shade at Gilcrease and enjoyed having the entire place to ourselves (I guess the temp scared everyone else away!). We got some beautiful pictures that I hope they will treasure forever! Here are a few sneak peeks

You can tell how much these two loved each other. I asked little sister to give big brother a kiss and this is what I snapped. Love it!!

I met the H family 6 months ago when we did little man’s newborn pictures. They are such a fun, sweet family and I really enjoyed our time together again this week. They had a picture of each of their older boys in a pot at 6 months and wanted to try to match it up for little H. I called my friends at Soiree and borrowed a chefs hat and set off for the session…hoping to get the shot they wanted. Mrs. H pulled out some veggies and a pot and baby boy played right along. This is the sweetest family. They are friends of ours from church and I have enjoyed getting to know them over shared nursery duty the past few years. They are always willing to help, where ever needed, without complaint. Troy and I teach their middle daughter in Sunday School each week and I loved walking up to the front door for our session and hearing her yell, “Miss Leslie’s here!” )

This party on Saturday was so much fun. The people were all so friendly and beautiful. The location…well…I seriously considered staking my tent and never leaving…loved it! And the weather cooperated perfectly for us (always a risk when doing anything outdoors in Oklahoma!). We had lots of families and a few animals show up for our party and I can’t wait to get through all these gorgeous pictures. Here is a sneak peek of the fun….

We had a beautiful night (could have done without all the wind but it IS Oklahoma, after all, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains!) with this beautiful family. They happen to be my cousin and her family! I met this little cutie last summer when I shot her big sister’s wedding and loved photographing her. I was so excited to hear they would be back in town this weekend and wanted some more photos.
