Cutest little cowgirl in town!

Monday, May 24th, 2010

I just love this little cutie. I met her family several years back and always love getting to catch up with them and see how much Miss T has grown. She has changed so much in the last year and I had a blast tonight visiting with her and letting her show me around their home. I always want to move to the country when I do sessions like these (which are coming too frequently lately…look out, honey, I might list our house soon!). It is so beautiful and peaceful and I am thankful they asked me back out tonight. Here is a quick sneak peek of Miss T’s 3 year pics. She is just a doll!

“H” family session at Gilcrease

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

We had a beautiful night (could have done without all the wind but it IS Oklahoma, after all, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains!) with this beautiful family. They happen to be my cousin and her family! Her boys are adorable and so smart…I loved listening to their commentary on everything we passed :) Here is a quick sneak peek for you guys – thanks for letting me photograph you all. I’ll talk to you soon!

And I forgot to bring paper for their family note – ugh. So we improvised and “M” helped us out ;)

Random Biz Post :)

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

My daughter is sick today so after running up to church to teach Sunday School to the 2 year olds, I came home and have been home ever since. My sessions for Friday and yesterday had to reschedule due to illesses so I had some free time on my hands to play. I am working on getting all my Christmas card templates finished for this season. I am excited to have some new ones to add to my collection from last year. I love personalizing the cards and making your vision come through. Let me know if you already have an idea of what you want and we can be working on it so it will be ready to drop the pictures into soon.

Which brings me to Christmas pictures….I am beginning to fill up for the rest of the year. If you haven’t already booked your session, please give me a call or shoot me an email so we can get you on my calendar. I also still have one opening for a portrait party if you are interested in getting FREE prints for yourself and a discount for your friends (reply here if you are interested). As for my maternity gals, I always make time for newborns, even if I am “booked” so just let me know roughly when you are due and I will get you down! Now is a great time for senior pics too…don’t wait until spring when you are so rushed, get your pictures booked today!

Phew – enough of the scheduling, I am so excited to introduce my  new wall design templates. I bought these a while back but haven’t had “free time” to work on them and personalize them. I think they are about ready to be printed and I will have them at all my session for you to see. Here is a sneak peek of the first page. If you are like me, you look at the pictures and spend all the time trying to decide what sizes you want and where you will hang those and always end up forgetting something. This little book is full of ideas for wall designs and tells you exactly what sizes you need to order!  I love it! Let me know what you think :)

And last but not least….don’t forget to check out the LE Portraits page on Facebook and become a fan to keep up with the day to day activities and chat with friends. You guys are the best and I enjoy keeping up with your daily lives too!

Come visit Freckles in Owasso

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Some friends of our recently bought Freckles Frozen Custard in Owasso. I have had the privilege of helping them decorate it the past few weeks and it looks great. They have been working hard to get it in shape and it is looking so good. We hung up lots of portraits of local people enjoying their delicious custard and if you are in Owasso, you should come see it. Our family is going to head over there tonight to watch the fireworks display and enjoy some custard and Italian Ice and would love to see you there. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from the bunch :) webcouples

Website issues….

Monday, June 15th, 2009

It was brought to my attention that my site is having some issues with contacting me. If you have sent an email through my contact page and have not heard back from me, I didn’t get it. Likewise, if you have placed an order and not heard back from me, I didn’t get it either. I am so sorry for the trouble and I am working on correcting this issue. Please email me at leslie@leportraits.com or call me directly for the next few days until this issue is resolved. Thanks!!

Life According to Max ~ SH Gottschalk

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

One of my sweet and talented clients, SH Gottschalk, is a new local author. You might remember her Mother’s Alphabet from this past summer and she has a new book out now that I wanted to tell you about. It isn’t available in stores until August but you can order it online now by clicking this link.  One of the things I love about her books is they come with a link and code to download an audio copy of the book for free – who doesn’t like something for free?!?! I just ordered it and can’t wait to read it with my kids. Congratulations, Shawn. I am so proud of you for following your dreams!!

I can’t post without a picture so I will add one of her inspiration for the “Max” series…her awesome son, Max :) max-copy

I am adding her link to the top of the blog, along with another talented client and friend of mine that has a painting business. I love to support local businesses!  Check them out :)
