Last weekend my nephew, “T”, asked me to take some pictures of him and his date before their prom. It was so fun to see them all dressed up and looking like a million bucks. Going to a Christian school, I didn’t have a prom so I thought it was cool to get to follow them around and we ended up at their high school watching them walk down the red carpet. It was a great night!
I have had the privilege of photographing “K” on her birthday the past 3 years as she turned 14, then 15, and now 16. She is such a beautiful girl, inside and out, and it is an honor to get to join in on her special day each year.
I loved this next picture the minute I saw it through the lens. Some people bring fans to their shoots to get this look but we “lucked out” and had a crazy windy afternoon! I liked it so much that I am posting two different takes on it. I know which one I like best but what do you think? It is amazing how editing can really change the feel of a picture.

My nephew is a super talented musician at the ripe old age of 13. He wrote the sweetest song for my Grandmother for her 85th birthday (the reason we were in Alabama) and is an all around good kid. I took a few fun pictures of him with his guitar while I was there. The processing was all over the place trying to decide what feel I wanted them to have but here are a couple of my favorites.
