LE Portraits ~ the blog: Owasso Oklahoma photography

This little baby was referred to me by the family I posted right before her. They didn’t know they were getting back to back sessions though Baby B was so precious and had me wrapped around her finger at first sight. She was so snuggly and happy and she was such a great little model too – she posed awake and asleep and was such a trooper as we moved her all around.  Thank you guys so much for letting me take her pictures. I am so excited for you guys and can’t wait to watch her grow up. Get ready to ohhhh and ahhhhh….she is a doll!

I met this adorable family last Friday and got to photograph their sweet 1 month old baby. He wasn’t that into me…but that’s ok. I am sure he will grow to love me in time I love chatting with his parents and getting to know them as we photographed their first born and laughing together as he peed and pooped on everything and everyone. That is the nature of the game when photographing newborns and totally expected. I don’t bring anything to a session that isn’t washable…and it all gets washed when I get home The holiday weekend threw me off and I am just now getting their blog posted. Here are a couple of pictures of this precious little one.

This party on Saturday was so much fun. The people were all so friendly and beautiful. The location…well…I seriously considered staking my tent and never leaving…loved it! And the weather cooperated perfectly for us (always a risk when doing anything outdoors in Oklahoma!). We had lots of families and a few animals show up for our party and I can’t wait to get through all these gorgeous pictures. Here is a sneak peek of the fun….

We had a beautiful night (could have done without all the wind but it IS Oklahoma, after all, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains!) with this beautiful family. They happen to be my cousin and her family! Her boys are adorable and so smart…I loved listening to their commentary on everything we passed Here is a quick sneak peek for you guys – thanks for letting me photograph you all. And I forgot to bring paper for their family note – ugh. So we improvised and “M” helped us out

I am not sure Miss M would agree, but I totally enjoyed my evening meeting this family. She wasn’t quite as into me as I was to her, but that is ok. I know she will learn to love me as she gets older and I hope to get to spend more time with her soon. She is almost 3 weeks old and just so perfect. I loved her blond hair and squishy round face….so precious. I have only known her parents for about 4 hours but I know she is going to grow up VERY loved and happy – they were great. And I imagine that after her being awake for pretty much the entire 3 hour session, “M” will let them all get a good night sleep tonight! I so love photographing this family. I was very excited to meet 9 day old Miss A today. I also loved hanging out with her older sister totally loved hearing “Leslie” from a 2 year old! Miss A didn’t sleep a wink during our session and we got lots of cute smiles and eye contact….I think she likes the camera

If you’ve followed this blog for a while, this sock monkey won’t be a surprise. Their grandma makes them for each of the babies and we always work them into our sessions

Oh, how I LOVE newborns. This little guy was so alert and sweet (not to mention strong – I was waiting for him to sit himself right up for the picture!). He was a dream to photograph and I can’t wait to watch him grow up. Congratulations, guys, he is PERFECT!

This little guy is such a trooper. We had to reschedule his session last Saturday when he took a little visit to the hospital for a few days…poor little thing. Thankfully, he is doing great now and is simply adorable. He slept through most of our visit today but that’s ok, he did wake up for a second so I could snap a few pictures of his big eyes.

Oh I could have snuggled this little chub for days! He is just so precious. He is also super strong – like crazy strong for a newborn. We had to keep an eye on him so he didn’t jump out of my props Congrats, guys, he really is perfect and I appreciate you letting me come photograph him tonight. Have a wonderful week and enjoy every minute with D…it goes too quickly!

And last but certainly not least…training him right from an early age – Boomer Sooner!
